    Ingredients for 1 cup (250 ml):

    • 1 teaspoon of organic ceremonial matcha
    • 70 ml hot water (70–75°C)
    • 150 ml coconut milk (liquid, unsweetened)
    • 1 teaspoon sweetener of choice (agave syrup, maple syrup, vanilla sugar…)
    • Optional: ice cubes (for an iced latte), coconut whipped cream, toppings (coconut flakes, white chocolate shavings, etc.)

    Method:

    Step 1: Prepare the matcha

    1. Heat the water: Warm water to around 70–75°C. Avoid boiling water to protect matcha’s delicate flavour.
    2. Whisk the matcha: In a matcha bowl, add 1 teaspoon of matcha and pour in the hot water. Whisk vigorously with a chasen (bamboo whisk) or an electric frother until smooth and lightly foamy.

    Step 2: Add the coconut milk

    1. Warm the coconut milk: Heat it gently in a small pan or using a milk frother. Prefer an iced latte? Use cold coconut milk.
