The Spelt Milk Matcha Latte pairs the vibrant taste of matcha with the naturally sweet, fibre-rich smoothness of spelt milk. Creamy and subtly nutty, it’s a comforting break that feels both gently energising and soothing.
Makes: 1 cup
Add the matcha to a bowl or mug. Pour in the hot water and whisk with a bamboo whisk (chasen) or a milk frother until smooth, with a fine foam on top.
Gently warm the spelt milk without bringing it to a boil. Froth lightly for a creamy texture.
Slowly pour the warm milk over the foamy matcha, keeping the foam on the surface. Stir gently.
If you like, add maple syrup or honey, then dust with a pinch of cinnamon for a cosy, barista-style touch.

Matcha is rich in antioxidants and L-theanine, supporting focus and calm. Spelt milk brings fibre, minerals, and complex carbs for steady, longer-lasting energy.
