Colour, taste, energy… everything is perfect 💚

I have finally found a truly authentic matcha for my latte! The colour is incredible and the taste is smooth, with no bitterness. I drink it every morning, it gives me steady energy and a real moment of calm, I feel better for it.

    Description

The set that brings together the three pieces of a true matcha ritual: the powder, the whisk and the scoop.

Our ceremonial matcha comes from the top 1% of Japan's plantations, in Kagoshima, hand-picked at the first harvest. Smooth, vegetal, without the slightest bitterness.

The chasen, a whisk carved from a single piece of bamboo, aerates the powder and raises the fine foam no spoon will ever give. The chashaku measures the exact amount, cup after cup, with no scales and no waste.

Three objects, one gesture to learn, and you make at home what you are served at ten euros a cup.

    What is in the set

    • 1 bag of organic ceremonial matcha, 50 g — around 50 bowls, sold on its own for €29.90
    • 1 chasen, bamboo matcha whisk — sold on its own for €14.90
    • 1 chashaku, bamboo matcha scoop — sold on its own for €4.90

€49.70 bought separately. €44.90 in the set.

The preparation guide and our ten recipe ideas are emailed to you after the order.

Matcha: the healthy alternative to coffee

No more energy spikes followed by slumps: matcha replaces your morning coffee beautifully, while taking care of your health. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, this superfood gives you gentle, steady energy right through the day, with no jitters or palpitations.

Unlike coffee, which hits abruptly, matcha releases its caffeine gradually thanks to L-theanine, an amino acid that supports focus and calm. The result: a sharp mind, but a settled one. By choosing matcha you do more than wake up, you look after your body, strengthen your immune system and slow the effects of ageing.

One simple gesture, one cup, and your routine changes for good.

    Frequently asked questions

What exactly is in the Discovery Pack?

    Three pieces.

A 50 g bag of organic ceremonial matcha, a chasen (bamboo matcha whisk) and a chashaku (bamboo matcha scoop).

Bought separately, these three products cost €49.70. In the set, €44.90.

How many cups can I make with this set?

    Around 50 bowls.

The 50 g bag makes about fifty preparations at 1 g per cup, slightly fewer if you like your matcha strong.

The chasen and the chashaku will serve you well beyond that first bag.

Does this set make a good gift?

That is exactly what it is for.

Whoever receives it has nothing else to buy to make their first cup.

The preparation guide sent after the order walks them through the first attempts, even if they have never held a chasen.

Do the whisk and the scoop last?

    Several months, often much longer.

Rinse the chasen in warm water after every use and let it air-dry, tines pointing up. Never soap, never the dishwasher.

The chashaku only needs a wipe with a dry cloth.

    What is ceremonial matcha?

Ceremonial grade is the highest quality of matcha.

It is meant to be enjoyed on its own, whisked with water, with a smooth, rich flavour and no bitterness.

At Matcha Matcha we only offer ceremonial matcha, never a lower grade.

What is the difference between ceremonial and culinary matcha?

Culinary matcha is more bitter and less refined.

It is meant for baking or preparations where the flavour is masked.

Our ceremonial matcha is so smooth it can be drunk on its own, with nothing to hide behind.

Is your matcha really free of bitterness?

    Yes.

Our Ceremonial Matcha is made to be smooth and balanced, without the bitterness often associated with ordinary matcha.

Even if you are just starting out, you can enjoy it on its own or as a latte, with no fear of an unpleasant taste.

How long does it take to make a cup?

    Under a minute.

Measure, add hot water, whisk, and it is ready.

No special equipment needed: an electric frother or a simple whisk will do.

    Does matcha contain caffeine?

    Yes, naturally.

    But unlike coffee,
the caffeine in matcha is released slowly thanks to L-theanine,
giving steady, calm energy with no sharp peak and no crash.

Can I drink your matcha even if I don't drink coffee?

    Of course.

    Our matcha releases gentle,
steady energy thanks to the natural pairing of caffeine and L-theanine,
with none of the buzz or crash of coffee.

Perfect if you are looking for a healthier alternative to coffee!

How should I store matcha to keep it fresh?
